We have three prominent journalists from the print media and one outstanding think-tank scholar participating in the panel, two American and two British, which will provide commentary from both the US and European perspectives on the highly contested approaching elections.
Coming in the midst of a world economic crisis, these elections are of more than usual importance as to the near future of the United States and perhaps its long-term relationship with friendly nations, others not so friendly, and others who are potential enemies. There are so many matters at stake, that it would take many pages to describe them all.
We welcome everyone to come and participate, bring your friends, and enjoy hearing about the very imminent elections from varying points of view.
Members of other Alumni Clubs are also being invited and we hope to have a very large turnout for what promises to be a most interesting and timely event, continuing a tradition we started in 2000, and continuing in 2002, 2004 and 2006. We urge you to attend.
RSVP (indicating guests, if any) by fax or via the contact us form at left no later than Monday, 20 October.
We look forward to seeing you at this gathering of the Yale community in Madrid.
